CLEANING YOUR SILK FLOWER ARRANGEMENT OR WREATH
Cleaning your Jane Seymour Botanicals arrangements is very easy and quite simple, and will keep them looking their best and as beautiful as the day they arrived at your home. Here's what we recommend-
1. A blow dryer (on low heat!) or feather duster to remove dust- try to do this once a month to avoid dust build-up. 2. How about washing with water? That's an even bigger "NO". Do NOT get wash your arrangement with water because that can damage the fabric and color of the arrangement. 3. Stay shady! Avoid placing your arrangement or wreath anywhere that gets a lot of direct sunlight. Excessive direct sunlight can cause fading of the colors of your arrangement or wreath and may also damage the fabric itself. 4. For wreaths- try to avoid outdoor use. Exposing your beautiful wreath to a very harsh outdoor environment is not a good idea. So we recommend indoor use unless you have a very sheltered location outdoors that won't get a lot of moisture or direct sunlight.
5. Fluff away! This last one's not about cleaning, but you should definitely take a few minutes to "fluff" your new arrangement (or wreath), shaping the leaves and petals to look as realistic as possible. Even though all of our designs will arrive at your place pre-arranged, a little bit of "fluffing" to move petals and blossoms to just the right spot and/or shape makes the design look even better in your home or office.
6. Don't forget to water! Just kidding about this one- one of the main benefits of high-quality permanent botanicals is that your design always will look fresh and you never need to remember to water it!
STORAGE Some of our friends like to store their Jane Seymour Botanicals design according to the season, and we definitely encourage this! Storage tips- 1. Find a big plastic bag and cover the arrangement with it to keep dust and light off of it while it's in storage.
2. For wreaths, we recommend keeping the shipping carton your wreath came in and using that for storage.
3. Be sure to store your arrangements and wreaths in a room with moderate temperatures and avoid hot (or extremely cold) and damp places. |
